To deliver exceptional quality care to highly dependent children and young adults with complex care needs. Providing Family Support outreach for parents with young people that have additional needs.
Potton Services are currently recruiting for dedicated Health Care Assistants in the Braintree, Clacton and Colchester area. Our new Health Care service provides respite care for families and children with additional needs as well as support from hospital to home; supervised contact, transport and rehabilitation services.
You will be providing high level family support to parents with children aged 0-18 years and assisting them with all aspects of personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, administering medication and assisting with meals.
Understanding the importance of each home visit, you will need to be flexible and able to our attend client’s needs in a timely manner.
You will have excellent communication skills, an ability to follow instructions and be able to undertake risk assessments and care plans. You will be caring and attentive with the skills to build strong and trusting relationships and promote the children’s independence, choice and dignity and respect, delivering the very best standards of care.
Requirements
You will need to have previous health care experience and ideally, you will hold a Health and Social Care Level 3 certificate, but we are willing to provide you with free training to achieve it and committed to supporting you with your development.
You will need to have the Right to Work in the UK and be able to drive and hold a full driving licence. You will need to hold or, apply for a UTR number from HMRC or provide an Accountant letter.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974). All post-holders working with children and vulnerable adults will be expected to complete an Enhanced DBS Children and or Adults check (and be required to register your DBS application on the DBS update service) prior to commencing employment.
